In addition to our weekly advice surgeries, we also run separate monthly advice surgeries where older people from across the borough can meet.
We can also arrange a visit to your organisation or centre and talk about our Information and Advice service.
If you are interested in either of these options please contact the team on: 020 3004 5617
Our reception and information services are also run by volunteers, as well as support for the general office in clerical duties and with the retail and trading side of the charity that continue to raise funds for our services.
Call us on 020 3004 5610 for a registration pack and to find out about volunteering or alternatively download our Volunteering Pack by clicking below:
Volunteer Application Pack - Word / PDFOur Befriending scheme targets those older people that are most isolated and most lonely across the borough. Finding a new friend through us who will visit a housebound older person once or twice a week breaks the monotony of isolation and is something that is looked forward to by the over 300 older people that have befrienders through us.
Our Escorting scheme has volunteers accompany older people on visits to hospitals, doctors, dentists and opticians. Clients regularly tell us that having a volunteer spend time with you before and after an appointment, and sit with you during the wait can make the whole experience less stressful and more bearable.
Our Small Gardening and Odd Jobs schemes assist with those small tasks around the house and garden that become increasingly difficult as we get older. These are highly valued services that we desperately need suitably experienced and qualified volunteers to help us provide. For more information contact us on: 020 3004 5612
